DFP guide for students

DFPs Procedures. Faculty of Social Sciences and Law of Elche

1st PHASE: CHOOSING OR ASSIGNING A TUTOR

To be able to choose a tutor or ask for one to be assigned to you: you must have a number of enrolled credits equal to or higher than 180 ECTS (it is not necessary to be enrolled in the DFP) and have passed all the subjects of the 1st and 2nd year.

When these requirements are met, from the “Gestión del TFG”” application, which can be found in the personalised access, you can:

Choose a tutor (MODEL A): in this case, you have to look for a tutor and directly in the application, in “Gestión de propuestas de TFG”, make the request for the subject and choose the tutor. This choice will be validated by the lecturer and accepted by the Vice-Dean of the degree. This model A is open all year round except for the period for requesting the assignment of a tutor, model B.

Request assignment of subject and tutor (MODEL B): in this case, check the dates set by the Faculty in the “Calendario de asignación de tutor” (generally in November). A few days later, on the date indicated, you will have to request the subject preferences that are available. Once this deadline has passed, a tutor will be assigned, in order of the student’s file and in order of preferences. Once a tutor has been assigned, you will be able to contact him/her.

2nd PHASE: ENROLMENT

In order to be able to register for the DFP, it will be necessary to be enrolled for all the credits pending to complete the studies, as well as to have passed 75% of the credits of the study plan, which must necessarily include those corresponding to the first two years of the degree.

The Academic Calendar establishes the dates for enrolment for the DFP, with four deadlines per year (January, March, July and September). Enrolment must be processed at CEGECA and entitles the student to two ordinary calls for defence in the same academic year (June and September).

In order to be eligible for the extraordinary calls in December and/or February, the application must be made on the dates indicated in the Academic Calendar. This application can be made at CEGECA or through personal access in the DFP subject.
